We are excited to bring itsu to Scotland for the second time in Union Square, Aberdeen. We are looking for the right candidate to assist our General Manager in leading our team to deliver Beautiful food and provide fantastic service for our guests. Why join us? scope of the role
- The Assistant General Manager is accountable for supporting the overall business performance of their itsu
- They partner with the General Manager to build and lead a proud and engaged team and deputise during the GM’s absence
- They support their team to deliver a wonderful customer experience by creating a relaxed, comfortable environment for our dine-in customers and a fast and efficient service for those wanting take -out and delivery
- They motivate and coach others to fulfil their potential and know when to step back to allow the team to flourish
- Their performance is measured against the KPIs

People
- Lead and motivate the team by promoting and living the itsu qualities
- Continuously develop the team to support their personal growth and maintain a consistent family tree through succession planning
- Provide training, coaching and development to the team in accordance with itsu standards
- Ensure robust communications are in place including team briefs, meetings and one to ones
- Effectively manage performance in line with itsu policies and procedures

- Be the guardian and owner of itsu quality
- Encourage, coach and challenge all team members to deliver every single product as per How To CTR (Correct to Recipe)
- Monitor and follow up on customer feedback.
- Ensure the maintenance programme is followed and proactively address any issues.
- Ensure Health and Safety and Food Safety practices adhere to legislation and itsu standards.

- Manage the shop operational standards through MBWA (manage by walking around) as per itsu procedures
- Comply with all itsu health & safety policies to ensure all the products we serve to our customers are safe
- Ensure all 5 Food Safety Focuses are carried out by the team at all times
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen as per itsu standards
- Ensure safety rules are adhered to at all times
- Ensure EHO 5 stars are achieved
- Take ownership of itsu equipment and ensure it is maintained to the best standards by all team members
- Hold daily team briefs and hot briefs; always focusing on people, quality and standards

Money
- Support the General Manager to continuously drive the business forward and deliver sales growth plans
- Oversee and ensure sufficient production levels are maintained throughout the day to maximise sales potential whilst balancing waste levels
- Support the weekly stock count & ensure administration processes are accurate and consistent
- Support labour management forecasting and scheduling
