Business Systems Application Manager

role responsibility

The role of the Business Systems Application Manager is to build business solutions to provide competitive advantage in support of the growth of the business in a way that satisfies our strategic ambitions.  They will:

 

  • be responsible for technical aspects of projects to evolve business applications so that they achieve the needs of the business
  • ensure a consistent application of data quality standards and policies in the administration and management of systems
  • be the technical authority for the business system applications for itsu, representing IT and building positive working relationships across the business and with external partners and suppliers
  • document and evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of existing business processes and legacy systems as part of providing the foundation for future change
  • implement all change in business systems with a keen eye to testing and a strong emphasis on quality
  • This role will report to the IT Director

the ideal candidate

  • Experience in the management of store and back-office system including knowledge of epos systems, both software and hardware, in a dynamic retail environment
  • Combines a high level of technical knowledge with in-depth interest in business operation and process expertise in the retail sector, preferably in hospitality
  • Experience in data warehouse and reporting technologies
  • A willingness to get into the detail of data, data standards and system management
  • Appreciation of release management strategies and their application in a rapidly changing environment
  • Some project management experience
  • Ability to prepare workflow analysis in the support of business process engineering
  • An inquisitive mind to hunt out opportunities to make the best of itsu IT
  • Strong communication skills
