scope of the role
itsu [grocery] is looking for a demand planner to join its supply chain team. They will work closely with the sales team to manage the demand forecast for our key accounts, as well as being key to the S&OP process of the business. They should be analytical, detailed and have a passion for efficiency.
responsibilities
- Generate timely and accurate demand plans for all product categories in your customer accounts on a weekly/monthly/promotional basis.
- Owner of forecast accuracy KPIs for your customer accounts. Drive root cause identification and corrective actions at SKU level. Challenge the sales forecast to drive excellent DPA.
- Assist in the development of process to complement and challenge the wider business; maximise the robustness of the forecast given to supply planning, such as NPD project launch planning.
- Build strong relationships internally & externally, taking a collaborative approach to forecasting and other projects.
- Conduct regular reviews of customer level data (e.g. EPOS, stock holding) to help assist and challenge the sales team in their forecasting.
- Assist in developing the company S&OP process, creating new ways of working with different parts of the business, documenting all forecast assumptions, risks and opportunities and performance tracking.
- Work with the wider supply chain team to find efficiency savings and reducing cost-to-serve.
the ideal candidate
- Analytical with strong Microsoft Excel knowledge.
- Good organisation skills and ability to communicate effectively as part of a team and with customers.
- Previous demand planning experience in FMCG.
- The self-motivation to work within a rapidly growing business that is constantly evolving with changing priorities.
- Pro-active, identifying issues as or before they arise.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet targets and deadlines.
- An open-minded approach to the role and a flexible, can-do, friendly attitude.
