Graduate Food Technologist

scope of the role
Overarching
- Responsible for the quality, safety, legality and authenticity of itsu [grocery] products.
- Support the Technical team in maintaining AA grade BRC Agents & Brokers accreditation.
- Provides support to the Technical team on a day to day basis with ad hoc requests and reporting
Key accountabilities
- Maintaining the supplier approval databases [QADEX and SEDEX] ensuring certificates and supplier approval questionnaires are always completed and up to date.
- Manage the specification pipeline working with the Technical team and suppliers to meet deadlines.
- Work with the Technical team to complete and maintain product specifications, 1 pagers and production documents across the itsu [grocery] portfolio to ensure products are safe and legal.
- Assist the team in generating pack copies and approving legal labelling for new and existing products.
- Raise the bar on product quality through the co-ordination of product assessment panels and creation of Quality Attribute Sheets.

Is this you:
- Qualified to degree level in food science or science degree with relevant work experience within the food industry
- Knowledge of EU food legislation and labelling requirements
- Have excellent attention to detail
- Be able to work in a small team and individually
