HR Advisor [itsu grocery]

scope of the role
We are passionate about finding and developing talent that will drive itsu’s success. Our HR Advisor will be responsible for leading and delivering people projects amongst a team of just over 40 people currently. This role requires self-sufficiency, collaborating skills and an innovative mindset. The ideal candidate will have experience in building strong relationships with stakeholders, dealing with ER cases and the ambition to grow their career.

main responsibilities
- Ensure consistency and coordination of HR policies & procedures across itsu [grocery].
- Support line managers in ER cases, when necessary.
- Work collaboratively with the itsu Talent team to support with recruitment [job description, screening, interviews etc.].
- Manage and deliver people-focused training programmes to upskill management competencies and HR capability.
- Responsible for Training budget and implement internal process for training budget allocation.
- Review and manage the monthly payroll in conjunction with the Finance team before processing.
- Create and run monthly payroll journals.
- Work with the GPDD and the Managing Director on bonuses and salary reviews.
- Develop and maintain the accuracy of the HRIS.
- Ensure all admin and legal documentation involved is correct, proper and within the company policy and kept safe for future reference.
- Manage the exit interview process and analyse results to improve retention.
- Responsible for weekly/monthly reporting on People KPIs.
- Support with people & engagement projects.
- Utilise current resources & processes from itsu [retail] to implement in itsu [grocery] where applicable.
the ideal candidate
- 2-3 years of experience in a HR coordinator/advisory level in a newly growing business, experience in FMCG ideal [but not a must].
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance on the day-to-day.
- Experience in implementing people projects.
- ER experience in a head office environment.
- Competent using HRIS systems.
- CIPD qualified preferable.
- An entrepreneurial mindset.
- Ability to get out of your comfort zone or remit to help the wider team when necessary.
- Keen to support setting up the basis of a people function in a fast-growing business.
