Inventory Analyst

the ideal candidate: 

 

  • 2 years previous experience in supply chain with an analytical mindset required. Exposure to 3PL or stock management desirable but not required.
  • Ability to work on own initiative to prioritise own workload
  • A high level of accuracy with an analytical approach to data management.
  • Comfortable working without supervision
  • Excellent organisational & problem-solving skills
  • Systems knowledge with a minimum of Microsoft (e.g. excel) required, with familiarity of ERP and WMS desirable. 
  • Pro-active, identifying issues as or before they arise.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet targets and deadlines.
  • An open-minded approach to the role and a flexible, can do, friendly attitude. Our business is constantly changing!

Scope of the role: 

 

itsu [grocery] is looking for an inventory analyst to join its supply chain team. They will assist the logistics and supply planning team with stock flow at our 3PL partners, reconciling discrepancies on physical movements with internal and external partner platforms, while supporting effective waste management and dynamic stock holding. The candidate will also prepare and distribute numerous inventory and 3PL based reports to the wider business, while collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure inventory across our 3PLs is managed efficiently.  

 

This is a great opportunity to join a growing supply chain within a logistics function looking to improve efficiency through the underpinning of cross-functional collaboration. 

 

  • Manage and reconcile all inventory against purchase orders and goods in data, ensuring accuracy in Sage. Investigate and support supply planning on any discrepancies. 
  • Develop and support our inventory management through proactive waste risk review and dynamic stock holding at SKU level to minimise risk or excessive dwell. 
  • Review internal and external inventory data. Use this to develop inventory reporting to the wider business concerning stock and 3PL management.  
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders across our supply chain, finance teams, as well key external contacts to align and direct business inventory management policies. 
  • Support the Logistics team in managing all inbound and outbound operations and wider inventory and warehousing strategy.
