scope of the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Junior Designer to sit within our in-house marketing team and support the Graphic Design Lead on a wide range of creative projects.

You will be expected to deliver high-quality designs and asset creation to the necessary specifications and follow the brand guidelines. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of both print and digital design and be able to work under tight deadlines.  

This is a great opportunity for a junior designer to gain more experience within a fast-paced in-house studio. 

main responsibilities 

  • Develop on-brand designs for both print and digital design, including assets for in-store POS, website, newsletter and social media
  • Explore and present new design ideas and new creative concepts in collaboration with the Graphic Design Lead.
  • Use Figma to create digital components.
  • Be able to create gifs, animations and moving graphics.
  • Ad hoc asset creation when required.
  • Have brilliant attention to detail.
  • Work in a fast-paced, responsive environment.
  • Stay ahead of emerging digital trends and provide new ideas to enhance the website and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Be able to work on a short turnaround whilst delivering results within a specific timeframe and assisting in forward planning ranges for future campaigns.
  • Work in a team environment and be able to communicate well within the team.

the ideal candidate

  • Confident in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, In design and/or Illustrator, Adobe After-effects, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Acrobat
  • Bachelor’s in art, design, communication or a related field, or alternative relevant experience in design.
  • Have experience in a design environment, with great communication and organisational skills.
  • Confident in using Figma.
  • Experience with image retouching.
  • The ability to create gif’s and animations using Adobe After-Effects/ Premiere
  • A good understanding of UX and UI principles
  • Understanding of the specific of designing for Desktop, Mobile, Tablets and App.
