itsu [grocery] is looking for an NPD Kitchen Assistant to join our product development team supporting our development managers through making up kitchen samples of their new product concepts.

role responsibility

• Ensures all ingredients required to produce the kitchen samples are maintained in stock.
• Prepares & cooks all recipes submitted by the development managers.
• Keeps detailed track of:

1. Ingredient percentages used in each recipe iteration
2. Ingredient format (e.g. cut/moisture level etc.) and origin used in each iteration
3. Preparation method used

• Arranges tasting of samples developed
• Maintains a tidy, organised and clean kitchen

scope of the role

• Detailed knowledge of Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese cuisine (ingredients and recipes)
• Minimum 1-year experience commis-chef in an Asian restaurant
• Passionate about food with strong kitchen skills
