itsu [grocery] is therefore looking to build and strengthen their people function by hiring a talented and resourceful People Business Partner. The right candidate will be a commercially focused partner, a critical friend to the management team/key stakeholders and who will work alongside itsu’s Chief People Officer [CPO] to deliver the people strategy.

role responsibility

We are passionate about finding and developing talent that will drive itsu’s success. Our People Business Partner will be responsible for leading and delivering people projects amongst a team of just over 80 people currently and growing. This stand-alone role requires self-sufficiency, collaborating skills and an innovative mindset. The ideal candidate will have experience in building strong relationships with stakeholders, work independently, dealing with ER cases and the ambition to grow their career and role in the company.   • Ensure consistency and co-ordination of HR policies & procedures across itsu [grocery]
  • Work collaboratively with the itsu Talent team to drive and lead with any recruitment [job description, screening, interviews etc]
  • Manage and deliver people focused training programmes to upskill management competencies and HR capability
  • Responsible for Training budget and implement internal process for training budget allocation
  • Maintain and communicate monthly pay-related changes to the monthly payroll team in conjunction with the Finance team prior to processing
  • Work with the CPO and the Managing Director on bonuses and salary reviews
  • Develop and maintain the accuracy of the HRIS
  • Ensure all admin and legal documentation involved is correct, proper and within the company policy and kept safe for future reference
  • Manage the exit interview process and analyse results to improve retention
  • Manage the onboarding process for new starters
  • Innovate and lead the annual graduate scheme
  • Responsible for weekly/monthly reporting on People KPIs
  • Support with people & engagement projects
  • Support, develop, implement and coordinate team engagement projects
  • Support line managers in ER cases, when necessary
  • Involved with creating and running monthly payroll journals
  • Ownership of keeping the its’us app [engagement] up to date and active for all [grocery] users
  • Work alongside itsu’s Reward & Benefits Manager to propose, implement and constantly improve the offer available to the itsu [grocery] team
  • Utilise current resources & processes from itsu [retail] to implement in itsu [grocery] where applicable

 

 

the ideal candidate

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a HR advisory or manager level in a dynamic business
  • Experience in FMCG ideal [but not a must]
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance on day-to-day
  • Experience in implementing people projects
  • ER experience in a head office environment
  • Competent using HRIS systems
  • CIPD qualified preferable
  • An entrepreneurial mindset
  • Ability to get out of your comfort zone or remit to help the wider team when necessary
  • Keen to support setting up the basis of a people function in a fast-growing business
  • Having the ambition to grow in their role and building a team over time
  • Looking for a role that provides exposure to various aspects of the People function, including but not limited to Human Resources, Learning & Development, Talent Management and Employee Engagement
