scope of the role

• Management of total business trade investment
• Developing the newly created P&P function and owning the strategic direction
• Driving a promotional evaluation culture within the sales team
• Developing a promotional sign off the structure to ensure opportunities are identified, prioritised and maximised
• Business partnering with finance to safeguard margins
• Building a clear view of price positions of key competitors and regularly updating the team
• Aiding the delivery of the volume and value forecast
• Running the commercial monthly meetings to share learnings and update stakeholders

the ideal candidate

itsu [grocery] is looking for a hard-working, analytical & detail-oriented pricing and promotions manager to help shape our newly setup function. The successful candidate will work with both the commercial and finance functions to understand our trade investment and how best to maximise return. This role will have the opportunity to shape and evolve the function to be at the core of strategic business decision making.

you:

• Strong commercial acumen
• 2 years + FMCG experience [finance, sales, trade marketing]
• Strong Excel skills
• In-depth understanding of the UK grocery market
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to challenge the decisions of other team members when necessary
• A flexible, can-do attitude with a willingness to work closely with others within a small team, a real self-starter
• The energy to work within a rapidly growing business that is constantly evolving and growing
